On the Eagle Trail.
At the beginning of February, 2006, on a frosty weekend we spent two days tracking down our national bird. Eagles over-winter along the Mississippi River and its tributaries, the Illinois and Missouri Rivers, and the stretch between Alton, IL, and Pere Marquette State Park is known to be rewarding to the bird watcher.
